Human Heart
This picture shows the photorealistic human heart image of both anterior and cross-section views. This image is showing the left ventricle(on the right), the right ventricle(on the left) and the aorta. This picture is drawn to show the passage of the blood and the muscles inside the heart. Blood from the vena cava flows into the right atrium of the heart and it goes through the right ventricle to the lungs. Then from the lungs into the left atrium, blood goes through the left ventricle to the aorta. This figure shows the inside of the left ventricle, the right ventricle, and the aorta at the same time. In the ventricles, there are muscles that look like a bundle of threads. These muscles open and close the valves of the heart and let the blood go in and out. Also, looking at this cross-section, you can see that there is a thick wall between the ventricles. By looking at the inside of the heart, you can see how the passage of blood in the heart look alike and how the muscles inside the heart move the valves. Because there is not much data, such as photographs or pictures which show the heart at various angles, I thought this illustration would help to understand the structure, function and realistic appearance of the heart.
