This illustration began by sketching in real-time with a view from the Laparoscopic camera in the OR room. This surgery is a partial excision of the stomach. Looking at the first orientation picture you can see where the camera and instruments are entering. This illustration provides a realistic representation of the various tools used in laparoscopic surgery. The fourth picture shows that when the stomach is cut, the stitch-up is made at the same time as the cut. I drew this illustration from the point of view of the Laparoscopic camera inside of the body.
